Good bye English IV

The first that I can say about the english class is that the class meeting times are the worst (after lunch is really hard to concentrate). Nevertheless the practical nature of the classes made them more dynamic and entertaining. Is a bless that in all the classes we have different activities because I believe that the learning improves with some kind of playful component. However, for me to write blogs and record videos in english were strange experiences. It's very difficult for me to talk and thought in English but I try to do the best because in my opinion to talk in English is really important  if you want to work in a business such global and multicultural like is the Cinema. From that point of view I know that I must improve my english. Although I want to spend more time to practice this language I can't do it because I spend the most of my time in another tasks of the university (especially in the television workshop). Changes that I want to my career

Since I started my studies in this institute I believe that the study programme has a lot of weakness. In first place there are many classes that repeat the same matters over and over again. Even there is some texts and theories that different teachers show us with the same approach. Another issue that I think it's harmful for our learning in the audiovisual area is that we don't have enough practical hours to learn the different techniques that we will need to use in our professional life in the future. In my opinion this career should stimulate the creation instead the theoretical production. There are different tasks of the audiovisual production that we don't learn in the most optimal way like the Sound Postproduction, the Art Direction and the Production. I believe that the teaching of those areas needs to improve to deliver a better knowledge to the students because when students learn more of the different areas they can execute a better work in the professional lif...

My posible summer holidays

I'm not very sure of what I'm gonna do this holidays. By one side I could look for a job and start to save money for a future project and/or travel. Nevertheless I think that this summer could be the last holidays free of responsibilities of my life. In that way I would like to travel to the south of Chile and spend this time in an amazing journey in beautiful landscapes and knowing beautiful cities and towns. If I travel I will take a lot of pictures with my camera to print them later. In the case that I can get a job in a production company I hope to know people that have similar interests of me.      Anyway I have no certainties  of what I'm gonna do this summer.  I believe that in December I could know what I'm going to do.  I think that I would take some course of illustration and spend a lot of time drawing (because right now I don't have any time to draw). I (don't) have a dream!

I have a big trouble to write this post: I never remember my dreams. That's very frustrating because all people tells me their amazing and interesting dreams and I can't tell them anything.  People always tell me that I should have a notebook to write the dreams when I wake up, before I forget the dream. That's a good idea but in my daily life I awake with a very short time to eat breakfast, take a shower and run to take the bus to travel to Santiago. Besides in the early morning to be able to sleep five minutes more is a bless that's why I never write my dreams in the morning. Anyway I would like to remember my dreams because I believe that the dreams are a big source of inspiration in the creative work especially in a professional area in which you work with images. Also I'm very interested in the dreams because they are product of the subconscious.  Although I don't remember my dreams I know that my dreams are not representations of the places ...

Postgraduate Studies

I would like to take a  Tv series script course because in my career the teaching of the script for television is a weak subject. I'm very interested in learn how write the full season of a serie with all their dramatic plots in a television format in which the story must keep the attention of the viewer to avoid that he change the channel. I'm not sure if I could take this course here in Chile or in another country because I haven't look for a course yet. Also despite I want to know different countries the idea of study in a foreign country isn't my first priority in life. Anyway, if I take some course I will do it when I could pay for it. In consequence, if I take a course it couldn't be a full-time course to be able to work in the day and study in the evening. In my opinion, it would be a good idea for this institute to offer more postgraduate programs for the student to obtain more specific skills and to get a much developed knowledge about a particul...

The script writer job

In the future I will like to have the job of script writer. I'm very interested in write films or TV series because in my opinion the narrative is essential in the experience of watch a movie.  I'm always thinking in create stories and characters, even I have a notebook to take notes of ideas. Maybe when I finished my studies I could take a script programe in another institution because in this university the script classes aren't enough if you want to dedicate your life to this area of cinema.      I hope that in the future I could write always in a comfortable space, like my own office with all my books and things, like the blackboards to put post-its with the structure of the story that you're writing. Also is important for me to work with other script writers with interesting ideas that stimulate me to develop my skills.   Although the job of the scriptwriter is mostly an indoor task I think that if I really want to tell stories that connect ...

The Oldboy ending

The ending of Oldboy is one of my favorites. Is amazing because the plot twist reinterprets the main topic of the film: the vengeance, furthermore the ending of the film is neither a happy or a sad ending which is really interesting for me. Besides in an audiovisual way the final scene is really beautiful. The end of the film has a big surprise that shakes the audience and changes their. expectations of the film.    Oh Dae-su discovers the real vengeance of his enemy:  he washed the Oh Dae-su's brain to make that he fell in love with his own daughter . The main character discovers that he slept with her without knowing that she was her daughter, this is an awful way to revenge, and a very original film revenge, also this revenge has certain relation with the Oedipus greek myth, so the film has some elements of a greek tragedy which makes its script much more interesting.
